Renaissance City, an online magazine of the arts, accepting submissions for its upcomming issues. While its founders are native Detroiters and they have a fondness for work by indigenous Michiganders, this site is dedicated to quality literature and art from all parts of the earth and all walks of life. Specifically, RC will consider works in these areas: short fiction (4,000 word range), novel excerpts (a chapter or two; will consider syndication), poetry (no more than 5 poems per submission), drama (one-act range), art (send images as JPG or PDF), creative non-fiction, songs or oral performances of any work and films or visual performance of any work. Basically, anything that strikes a human chord and resonates is welcome. Please e-mail submissions to: renaissancecity@gmail.com

lease give the editors up to eight weeks to confirm the status of your submission. Renaissance City is a labor of love, not necessity, and the editors have day jobs, families, their own writing, etc. Be patient and polite and we’ll do our best—being pushy, obnoxious, threatening, etc., will result in your being ignored and an ancient voodoo curse bestowed upon all your writing implements.

Once a piece is posted on the site, all rights revert back to the artist. We are not interested in owning anyone’s intellectual property, just celebrating expression.
